In TEAL, there are several options presented when applying for a certificate:
*Intern–This is when the content area has been passed, the candidate has been offered a teaching position that will match the certification category, and you have been prompted to do so by your Program Advisor.
*Probationary–A candidate who is eligible for this certificate must have already passed the content area exam(s) AND the PPR exam. This certificate is typically used when the first internship experience was not successfully completed within the calendar year of issuance.
*Standard–This is the certificate applied for when all program requirements have been completed, including the completion of a successful clinical experience (clinical teaching and internship), and passed all content and PPR exams.
