What if I do not qualify for the area that I want to teach?
Texas Administrative Code requires 12 hours of university coursework (15 hours for mathematics or science above Grade 7) to demonstrate content knowledge in a certification area.
We also require a subject-specific GPA of 2.5. You would need to successfully take a TX PACT exam for the subject(s) desired if you did not qualify through the admissions requirements.
