If I am in another program but use 240 Tutoring, can I apply for a certificate through 240?
240 Tutoring and 240 Certification, although they work closely together, are two separate businesses. 240 Tutoring offers certification exam testing preparation resources and 240 Certification is an educator preparation program, fully accredited by the State Board of Education (SBEC) and the Texas Education Agency (TEA), to prepare and certify teachers in Texas.
Many educator preparation programs (EPPs) encourage their candidates to use 240 Tutoring as the results acknowledge the effectiveness of the preparation; however, 240 Certification can only prepare, serve, and recommend for certification, candidates who have been formally enrolled and complete the program successfully.
These two businesses in the education industry are separate and have different functions.
